where it began

Rocker A Well Service, our parent company, was established. Founded under the leadership of Richard S. Anderson, Post, Texas, was where it all began.

2013

More than wells

In 2013, we became Rocker A Cementers. What began as a small well servicing company in Post now serviced oil fields across the Permian Basin.

Our leadership team brings decades of combined oilfield experience, guiding Rocker A with the same values that define our crews — integrity, accountability, and a commitment to doing things right.

Alyssa Segroves

Director of HS&E and Compliance

Alyssa Segroves has served as the Director of HSE and Compliance at Rocker A Cementers for 8 years. Alyssa started her career in oil and gas as an HSE coordinator for Express Energy Services, then later working as Safety Coordinator for War Horse Services. Both opportunities allowed her to gain extensive field safety experience, before moving into a Training Director role for Pro Mainland Safety. Alyssa’s professional knowledge has been greatly enhanced by her career diversification. This diversification enables her to provide vital risk management and compliance guidance to Rocker A Cementers in an ever-changing and difficult regulatory environment.

Jordan Samsel

Director of Wireline Services

Jordan Samsel serves as Director of Wireline Services at Rocker A Cementers. Prior to Rocker A, he served as frac engineer for C&J Energy Services. In 2019, after Jordan’s work in frac operations, he made the decision to join Rocker A Cementers. This jump allowed him to gain extensive field experience in both small line and big line wireline services. His combination of engineering knowledge, hands-on field experience, and operational leadership now supports his role overseeing Rocker A’s wireline operations.

Johnathan Studer

Director of Cementing Services

Johnathan Studer has served as the Director Cementing Services for Rocker A Cementers for the previous 4 years. He began his time in oil and gas in 2012 in the cement and pressure pumping division with Basic Energy Services in Midland Texas. Since then, he has operated every day in the turnkey plugging operations and remedial cementing realm. Joining Rocker A Cementers in 2015, Johnathan has seen the growth of Rocker A from near the beginning. Today he oversees the cementing operations for Rocker A, delivering effective solutions for cementing applications and consistent execution in the field for long-lasting customers. He received a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a minor Chemistry from Abilene Christian University in 2010.

Zack Shaw

Director of Asset Management

Zach Shaw has served as the Director of Asset Management for Rocker A Cementers since 2018. Zach joined Rocker A Cementers in 2014 as a cement pump operator, before working his way into a supervisory role over cement, wireline, & P&A operations. Prior to Rocker A, Zach worked in the pressure pumping division for Basic Energy Services.

Zach’s broad work exposure has given him a practical tool set that he uses daily in his asset management role. Since moving into his current role, Zach has been responsible for the safe and efficient repair, and operation, of Rocker A Cementers oilfield service equipment.

Zach is a 2012 graduate of Texas Tech University.

Chase Clark

Director of Rig Services

Before joining Rocker A, Chase was a valued long-time member of the Westex Well Service team. His tenure there saw him progress through the ranks and developing a strong understanding of the well service industry. From hands-on rig operations to large-scale area management, his career has been built on hard work, leadership, and a commitment to getting the job done safely and efficiently.
